Scott Allen Evans, lovingly known as Dewey, was born on June 17, 1957, in Carmel, CA. He peacefully passed away on May 30, 2024, in Susanville, CA at home surrounded by his loving family. Dewey had a vibrant personality and was known for his passion for hunting, fishing and gardening, three hobbies that brought him immense joy throughout his life. He had a great taste in music, with 60’s,70’s & 80’s soft rock being his favorite. Being with his friends listing to loud music was always a great time. He had a deep appreciation for drinking and making good beer. He also enjoyed pickling pickles and loved venison. Dewey had an interesting professional background owning two businesses a landscaping business in Santa Cruz and his Dental Lab in Susanville. Dewey was also a garbage man for a time. However, his true love and devotion were always reserved for his children and grandchildren. He cherished their company and created beautiful memories with them. Scott is survived by his two daughters, Rona Evans and Michelle Rosario and 7 grandchildren, his step daughter Kristal and Christine Tomas the mother of his children and friend. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Evans and brother Bruce Evans, and is survived by his mother Janet Evans, his sister Ronette Scarbrough and her son David Scarbrough, his brother Dave Evans and family, along with Bruce Evans 4 children.
Dewey will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kind heart, love for life, and love for his family will forever remain in their hearts and memories.
