Dr. Raymond Edward White, age 67, passed away on Thursday, January 30th in Janesville, California.

Raymond White was born June 6, 1957 in Fontana, California to William and Lois White. He was raised in Lompoc, California and graduated from Lompoc High School in 1975. Raymond earned his Biology and Music degrees from University of the Pacific, Stockton, California in 1979 and earned his degree of Doctoral Dental Science from University of the Pacific, San Francisco, California in 1982. Raymond married Denise Hall on December 5, 1987 at the Morris Chapel of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Dr. White practiced dentistry in Susanville from 1988 to 2025. He was a charter member of the Susanville Symphony and an accomplished musician playing many instruments and held principal first chair in the Susanville Symphony playing the French Horn. Additionally, Ray was a twenty-two year member of the Janesville Fire Department. He took pride in the many accomplishments of the Fire Department and being an integral part of the Fire Department community.

Ray was well known throughout the Susanville area as a kind and giving person and his impact on the community is unmistakable. His presence and sense of humor will be sorely missed.

Survivors include his wife Denise White of Janesville, his three children, Morgan, Evan, and Logan White of Reno and New York; one brother William White of Littleton, Colorado; In-laws including Kyle Smith of New York, Becca Berumen of Reno, David and Linda Biagi and Brenda Hall of Fair Oaks. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lois White of Lompoc, California.
A memorial service will be held at the Honey Lake Valley Assembly of God church on Saturday February 8 at 2:00 pm.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Susanville Symphony.
