Obituary For Mary Annette Levada
In Loving Memory of Mary Annette Levada
December 29, 1930 – August 14, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Annette Levada. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing she now rests in the loving arms of her God.
Mary passed away peacefully at her home in Discovery Bay after living a full and beautiful life of 94½ years.
Born on December 29, 1930, in Delleker, California, to Angelo and Amelia Pellizzer, Mary was the youngest of three daughters. She grew up in Susanville and graduated from Lassen High School in 1948. It was there she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Levada. They were married on June 11, 1950, at Sacred Heart Church—a union that would last 64 wonderful years.
Mary and Bob’s unwavering love and devotion to one another was the cornerstone of their lives. Together, they raised two daughters and cherished two grandsons.
Mary embraced many roles: devoted daughter, beloved sister, faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother, and loyal friend. She was known for her warm heart, infectious smile, and generous spirit. A woman of deep faith, she was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Her greatest joy was found in life’s simple pleasures—gathering with loved ones, sharing laughter with friends, and offering a helping hand whenever it was needed.
While raising her family, Mary also worked at Spaulding Drug Store and later at Lassen Community College, where she was admired by both coworkers and students.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Ann and Michele; her grandson, Matt; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert; her parents, Angelo and Amelia; her sisters, Elizabeth and Norma; and her grandson, Jake.
