It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria Marie Cobb on October
10, 2025 with her loving husband and best friend Terry and children by her side. Gloria
was born in Turlock California on September 16, 1949 and had just celebrated her 76 th
birthday. Gloria was a Lassen County resident since just after her birth and lived in
Janesville since 1954. She attended Janesville Elementary and was a Lassen High
graduate in 1968. Gloria married the love of her life Terry L Cobb Sr in 1967 and they
were married for 58 years. They started a family and were blessed with three children,
Tina Dean (Pat), Terry Cobb Jr (Kerri) and Robert Cobb (Veniessa). As a family they
enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and big family gatherings. Gloria began working at
Janesville School in 1984 and retired as the Cafeteria Manager in 2004. During their
retirement they enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with their eight
grandchildren, Jessica Dean, Jeremy Dean (Annie), Tanner Cobb (Katy), Tierra Honea
(Kyler), Bailey Mallery (Devin), Jakob Nave and Isaak Nave. Gloria enjoyed embroidery,
crocheting and quilting. She made a goal to make a special quilt for all the special
people in her life, they will be forever treasured. Gloria was also a Coded General
Amateur Radio operator, she was a long-time member of the Lassen Amateur Radio
Club, The Amateur Radio League of America, Ten-Ten International Net and Young
Ladies Radio League. She was also a long-time supporter of the Janesville Volunteer
Fire Department. Gloria was so happy when her first great grandchild Kayden Dean was
born. He was followed by Tyler Dean, Ashlynn Dean, Estella Dean, Rhea Dean, Kinsley
Mallery and Keaton Mallery. Family meant everything to Gloria, she loved the saying,
“Families that play together, stay together.” Gloria is survived by her beloved brother
Fred Winters and sister Barbara Partridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria is preceded in death by her loving parents Charles and Roberta Winters, sisters
Charlotte Wolf and Margaret Harrison. A private family service will be planned at a later
date as per Gloria’s wishes.
