Eugene Carl Edwards Sr.
March 23, 1968 – October 4, 2025
The family of Eugene Carl Edwards Sr. lovingly announces that he began his journey
home on October 4, 2025, in Susanville, California — the same place where his life
first began on March 23, 1968.
Eugene was the beloved son of James Lewis Edwards and Clara Edwards
LeCompte. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He
will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and the deep love he carried for his
family and community. His spirit will continue to guide and protect those he leaves
behind.
Eugene will be laid to rest in Oroville, California, beside members of the Edwards
family, including his father.
He is survived by his siblings James Edwards Jr., Rhonda Rupert, and Valerie
Edwards, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, all of whom
will carry his memory with love and pride.
He is also survived by his five children: Eugene Edwards Jr., Kristina Edwards,
Kaylin Edwards, Mariah Edwards, and Sophia Edwards. He was a proud
grandfather to Nickolas Mullen Jr. (17), Kadence Edwards-Smiles (8), and Ashton
Edwards-Brown (5), who brought him endless joy and laughter.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fink Funeral Home.
A wake will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and
continuing through the night at the Upper Rez Church. Dinner will be provided around
6:00 p.m.
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the family will begin travel at 8:00 a.m. to Blommer
Hill in Oroville, California, where Eugene will be laid to his final resting place beside
the Edwards family.
Eugene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His journey continues
through the hearts of his siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins,
and all those whose lives he touched.
